Marriage licenses

Can those of you who are already married tell me if you received a copy of your marriage license APPLICATION along with your marriage license when the county sent it back to you?

Back story: Our marriage license was lost in the mail. When the county (Weld) sent us a certified copy of it, they included a copy of our application, which obviously has all the personal information anyone could ever want to steal both of our identities. We need to know if we should put out fraud alerts.

I did call the county and they said they don't send the application with the original license, but the lady I talked to didn't seem to entirely understand my question. I'm just looking for reassurance.

Vendor alert

I just had my wedding in Boulder and I want to let anyone planning a wedding in Colorado know that Alpine Audio Visual of Boulder did NOT show up as contracted. I have gotten no information from them, no excuse, no explanation. My wedding coordinator called them the Monday before the wedding to touch base and they never got back to her. I had no amplification for my ceremony and no sound equipment for the reception. It was horrible. Our coordinator scrambled at the last minute and found a DJ willing to come out for a few hours, and they rocked. But Alpine Audio Visual did not show up. Buyer beware.

Other amazing vendors I used were:

Ooh La La Fleur of Boulder. Fabulous florist who really worked with me to get beautiful flowers within my budget.

A Grande Finale Patisserie in Louisville. Yummy cake!

JA Special Events. Our day-of wedding coordinator, Jessica Adler, saved the day. She was amazing, getting that DJ out at the last minute AND getting him to reduce his fee by nearly 50%! Our day would have really sucked without her.

The Red Lion. We had our ceremony and reception at The Red Lion restaurant in Boulder Canyon. The food was amazing; a lot of guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. They were really helpful, did everything we asked, and made the day as wonderful as it could have been. The setting is gorgeous and the price was amazing!

Cellidoscope Cello Quartet. I didn't hear most of the music they played for the ceremony, since I was hiding away waiting for the grand entrance, but I heard from many guests that they were lovely. Cellidoscope arranged three songs especially for us (Yellowcard, Weezer and Foo Fighters) to make the ceremony unique. Their fee was low, comparitively, but I think it's gone up since we hired them. Still, they were great.

Amanda's Bridal. Great bridal shop in Arvada. I got my dress and alterations there and had no problems.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Thanks to everyone that reccommended jewlery stores, Tim (my fiance) went to Shane and I couldn't be happier. He got me exactly what I wanted!
Our wedding is set for Sept. 14,2007 at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park our first choice.

I just ordered my gown this weekend the only problem is that it's sleeveless and I have an arm band tattoo. Does anyone here know any product or a make up artist or anyone or anything that can cover my tattoo for my wedding???

THanks!
So I and my fiance have decided to do a destination wedding. We would like someplace warm, tropical, and a place that has a good All-Inclusive Resort(key word being good as there are a lot of bad ones out there). Due to family issues Jamaica and The Phillipines are completely out of the picture. She doesn't like the Bahamas either.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Crinoline and lingerie

Any ideas for a good place to buy a (hopefully inepensive) crinoline? How about a really good lingerie store for a super awesome strapless bra? I got my wedding dress and I need to find the stuff to go under it.

rings

Hi, I am new to this community and relatively new to CO. (a bit over a year now), can anyone recommend a good place to shop for an engagement ring? I am interested in both new and antiques. I hear that Shane Co. and Jerrod are both good. I am looking for places in Denver or surrounding area.
Thanks!
amy

Invitations

Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations where I could start to look at invitations? I'm in Boulder but would go down to Denver for a good stationary store. A place with interesting and unique invitations for less than and arm and a leg would be ideal.

Thanks.

longline bras

If you're looking for a bra to wear under your dress (and you're in Colorado, obviously), check out the Maidenform outlet at the Colorado Mills Mall. I stopped over there today to see what they had, and they had a three for $21 sale going on. The gal working there told me that if I bought just the longline bra, it would have been $32, but if I found two more bras, the whole lot would be $21. Not a bad deal!

Vendors

A few people have gotten the party stared in the community with vendor lists/recommendations, so I thought I'd do the same.
